    Healing Through Art

     Quincy Hardin has worked in a broad range of diverse media. She has been an award-winning hair stylist, a professional cake designer, has worked with découpage, jewelry making, and more. While she had previous experience painting abstracts in oil, it wasn’t until she was diagnosed with cancer and found herself housebound as she fought toward recovery that she got into acrylic abstracts. Deprived of the world beyond her home and prevented from engaging with her regular carousel of roles and activities by crippling pain and fatigue, Mrs. Hardin found herself confronted with a stark new reality. One that demanded new ways of understanding life and her place in it, engaging her creativity, and expressing things that were still taking shape. Surprisingly, she discovered an answer to these demands by painting acrylic mixed medium abstracts.


    Ultimately, there is healing through art. Mrs. Hardin found a new language that enables her to express things that words cannot describe.


    Each piece is meant to have a living relationship with the viewer, evoking something new with each viewing, with each change of light and turn of mind adding a splash of color and intrigue to a tastefully balanced room.
